An original Paper collage, scientific journal, magazine, postcards and photographs, transferred to screen and printed. Various colours.

Inspiration came from a title in an old scientific journal found in a damp box at a car boot sale. ‘An Endless Searching for Substance’ seemed to speak to me, I think often about the family we know and the ancestors we didn’t, the atoms that make us, our personalities, little quirks passed on, ways of speaking, likes and dislikes that skip generations and have a history that shape us into the people we are.

It’s my family pictures, there’s a security in the image for me, strong hands sending me forward with the lessons (and handicaps) of the past to make my way.
